Shnat Netzer is a 6-8 month long learning and volunteering program wherein participants live in Jerusalem and volunteer in different organizations and NGOs across Israel, effecting positive change in Israeli society based on Progressive and Reform Jewish values.
This year, 2021-2022, Shnat Netzer is partnering with Noar Telem, the youth movement of the Israel Movement for Reform & Progressive Judaism (IMPJ), to bring young adult Progressive and Reform Jews from around the world together with their Israeli peers to work, learn, live, volunteer, and experience Israel, its people, social organizations, communities, landscape and more.
Our two session options are:
October 2021 - June 2022
for Northern Hemisphere participants
February - August 2022
for Southern Hemisphere participants, with 3 months (June - August) spent leading on Reform and Progressive Jewish summer camps in North America (through URJ) and Europe (through Netzer Olami)
Please note: Due to COVID-19, activities and schedules of the program are subject to change per the guidelines of the relevant authorities. Netzer Olami will do its best to preserve the content, aims, and spirit of the program.
